Target restocks: online alerts and how often we check

Target in stock, online. How Target shows on product pages, how often we look, and how to get a heads-up when it's back.

Switch 2 System

Target is one of the first places consoles, LEGO® sets, trading cards and collectibles land when a restock hits, and one of the easiest to miss. You can now see Target here right beside Best Buy: its online price and stock on the product page, checked on a schedule, with the time we last looked.

Target online, on the product page

Open a product we track at Target and you'll find a Target row in the Online right now list, with the price and how long ago we looked. The badge reads the same way it does for every store: green for in stock, grey for sold out.

A few things that make Target's row a little different:

  • We check every couple of hours, more often while people watch. Every Target product we track is checked online every 2 hours, and every 30 minutes while people here are following it. If a check is late, the row says when we last looked rather than guessing, and the last price stays as "last $X".
  • In stock? The row links straight to Target. When it's sold out, the row offers an alert instead.
  • Status is always a label, never just a colour. See what the statuses mean.

Target and Find it near me

Find it near me reads the Best Buy shelves around your ZIP and keeps them fresh while you look. Target is an online row for now: its status comes from our scheduled checks, not from a button, and refreshing a page doesn't run a new one. The time beside the status is when we last looked.

Your ZIP stays in your own browser while you browse.

Alerts when it's back at Target

We'll let you know when it's back at Best Buy or Target. Pick how: email, Discord, Telegram, or Bluesky. Every alert says which store it came from ("Back in stock at Target") and links to our product page, where you'll see the price, the other stores and when we last looked. Here's what an alert looks like.

Near-me alerts, the ones for a store close to you, are Best Buy only for now. For Target, the online alert is the way to catch it.

Quick tips

  • Follow the product, not the store. One alert covers every store we check for it.
  • Check both shelves. Best Buy and Target restock on their own schedules; one is often stocked while the other is empty. When Best Buy restocks has the patterns we've seen so far.
  • Browse Target's page for everything we track there, in stock first.
