GameStop restocks: Pokémon TCG, amiibo and "In stores only"

GameStop online stock and prices beside Best Buy and Target, the two yellow GameStop rows, and how to get a heads-up when a set or amiibo is back.

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Pitch Black Booster Bundle

GameStop is where a lot of sealed Pokémon TCG and amiibo turn up between the big-box drops, and it prices some of them its own way. You can now see GameStop here beside Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Amazon: its online price and stock on the product page, with the time we last looked.

GameStop online, on the product page

Open a product we track at GameStop and you'll find a GameStop row in the Online right now list, with the price and how long ago we looked. Green means GameStop has it online at a price near list; grey means sold out. GameStop rows have two more states of their own, both yellow:

  • Over usual price. GameStop has it, but at well over list, the way it often prices the hottest boxes. The row shows that price and sends no heads-up. When the price comes back near list, the row turns green and the heads-up goes out.
  • In stores only. GameStop says it's sold out online but some of its stores have it. GameStop doesn't say which store or how many, so the row names none; it links to GameStop's own page, where its store check says which ones. No heads-up goes out until it's back online.

What every status means has the full list, grey and green included.

How often we look

We check each GameStop product at least once a day, the ones people are following more often, and the row always says when we last looked. A check that is late shows its age rather than a guess, and the last price stays as "last $X". Refreshing the page doesn't run a new check.

What we track at GameStop

Sealed Pokémon TCG first: the Mega Evolution sets, such as the Pitch Black Booster Bundle, the 30th Celebration line, such as its Elite Trainer Box, and Prismatic Evolutions, such as the Mini Tins. Then amiibo, the Zelda, Metroid and Kirby figures GameStop carries, such as Samus from Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The Pokémon pages and the Nintendo pages list the rest, and a product GameStop sells shows its GameStop row wherever it appears in the catalog.

Alerts when it's back at GameStop

Follow the product and we'll let you know the moment GameStop has it online at a price near list. Pick how: email, Discord, Telegram, or Bluesky. Every alert says which store it came from ("Back in stock at GameStop") and links to our product page, where you'll see the price, the other stores and when we last looked. Here's what an alert looks like.

A yellow row never sends one: over the usual price is not the restock you're waiting for, and "in stores only" names no store to send you to.

Near-me alerts, the ones for a store close to you, are Best Buy only for now. For GameStop, the online alert is the way to catch it.

Quick tips

  • Follow the product, not the store. One alert covers every store we check for it.
  • Yellow is worth a look, not a rush. "In stores only" means a drive might pay off, and GameStop's store check says where. "Over usual price" means wait, unless you want it today at that price.
  • Check the other shelves. Target, Walmart and Amazon restock the same sets on their own schedules. Where Pokémon TCG restocks land walks through each store, and how Target shows here covers the one most like GameStop.

Quick answers

Does GameStop restock Pokémon cards online?

Yes, and usually at list price for the everyday sets. The hottest boxes often come back at well over list, which shows here as "Over usual price" rather than as a restock. When GameStop's price settles near list, the row turns green and the heads-up goes out.

What does "In stores only" mean on a GameStop row?

GameStop's site says it's sold out online but some of its stores have it. GameStop doesn't say which stores or how many, so we can't name one; the row links to GameStop's page, where its store check does. No heads-up goes out for it.

Why didn't I get a heads-up when GameStop had it?

Because the price was over the usual price, or it was in stores only. A heads-up goes out when GameStop has it online at a price near list, the restock worth hurrying for.

Is GameStop in "Find it near me"?

Not yet. The shelves near your ZIP are Best Buy only for now. GameStop is an online row, with its own store check a tap away from an "In stores only" row.
