Restock Buddy tracks products, not people. This page lists everything we store, why, and how to remove it. Last updated October 2026.
What we store
If you set an email alert: your email address, encrypted, plus a keyed fingerprint of it so we can find your alerts; the products you asked about; whether you want price drops; and a record of each alert we sent you. Nothing is sent until you confirm the address.
Searches on this site: the words searched, how many results there were, and the time. Nothing about who searched. These counts feed the Radar page.
Clicks on retailer links: which product and retailer, and when. Nothing about who clicked.
In your browser: your light or dark theme choice, saved in your browser's local storage. We use no tracking cookies and no ad trackers, so there is no cookie banner.
Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, which site sent you here, and how fast pages load. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify or follow you.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your data, build profiles, or use your email for anything but the alerts you asked for. We don't store IP addresses; the short-lived counters that stop abuse live only in memory for about a minute.
Who else handles it
Our email provider delivers alert emails, so it handles your address when we send one. Retailers you click through to can see that you came from us; their own privacy policies apply from there.
Removing your data
Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which deletes that alert and your address with it. The manage page linked from every alert can delete everything at once. Records of alerts already sent remain only as counts, no longer connected to you. For anything else, write to hello@restockbuddy.app.
Children
The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
